Memory Foam dog Bed Arthritis Relief

How a Memory Foam Dog Bed Can Provide Dog Arthritis Relief...

There are several forms of dog arthritis relief, such as massage, regular light exercise, and medical intervention.

But perhaps the quickest, easiest and simplist method for canine arthritis relief, is investing in a memory foam dog bed.

Now, if you haven't read my story on the homepage yet, let me fill you in.

My owners make memory foam mattresses for people.  And a lot of their customers come to them because they have a condition affecting their mobility, like arthritis.  They find sleeping challenging, as it can be difficult to get comfortable in an ordinary bed.

The same applies for us canines as well.

The problem is that lying down puts pressure on your dog's joints.  And that's where they're suffering most.

What is Canine Rheumatoid Arthritis?

Arthritis is caused by the cartilage around your dog's joints breaking down.  This can cause severe discomfort when moving around, just as it does in humans.

It's most common in older dogs, because unfortunately arthritis often comes with old age.  It's also prevalent in large breed dogs, because the more weight your dog is carrying, the more pressure is put on their joints.

Regrettably, a lot of owners aren't looking for dog arthritis relief because they don't realise their dog is suffering from it.  They think the slowing down and laboured movements is just down to old age.

Memory Foam Dog Beds

Memory foam isn't a medical dog arthritis treatment.  But it can give your dog more comfort, better quality sleep and hopefully dog arthritis pain relief.

An orthopedic memory foam dog bed moulds and shapes itself to the exact contours in your dog's body, as it's lying down.  This re-distributes the pressure on joints from your dog's weight.

And because of it's open-celled structure, memory foam is good at keeping your dog cool in the summer and warm in the winter, adding to their comfort.
